Significance of technology? speech by Rana muddasar rajput

         

            Instead of asking Significance of technology i would rather ask, Where are we heading with all these Technologies?, although, i confess i am beneficiary of technology and knowing it so closely, It can be said how much adverse effects it would have in the future, I think i should here clear my stand first, I am here not Opposing technology itself but the way in future we Human could turn this blessing of today into nightmare of to-marrow. 

          Technology has concentrated itself to 5 inch long formula " Less Effort = More work ", Technology had in past and present reshaped millions of lives, Now with passage of time slowly and gradually we are heading towards "AI GENERATION", From AI i mean Artificial intelligence - a code of programming which will enable machines to have their own human intelligence- or simply human decision making power, USA is already spending billions of dollar on research of it and has aimed to achieve their goals by 2050. now imagine army of machines having their own thinking decision execution power in battlefields. What would happen if the script goes wrong?, What would happen if the creation machines rise above us the creators?, What could be the more worst  than the thing that we would be ruled then by the things we created.

          If we are lucky enough to survive machines there is another adversity of technology waiting for us which feared the greatest mind of science Albert Einstein, He once said,

     "  I may not know from which weapon World War 3 will be fought but i do know world war 4 will be fought with sticks and stones " 

          Now you can just imagine the depth of this saying, according to Einstein we wont be left will such resources after world war 3 highly technological advance warfare to fight world war 4 and in end what would be left for us to fight with would be tools of stone age i.e. Sticks and Stones 
Geopolitics has a a lot to do with technology, In today's world technology is what defines your power and influence in region and world. This lust of power would in end result in what Einstein feared.

           Now, I would like to focus your attention on GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY, a concept that means in less than 25-50 years everything is likely to get on technology, From your toothbrushes to your combs, from your cloths you wear to your houses, and now concentrating to my audience who are familiar with computer and technology, They might know that technology is mainly operated in machine language and everything which run  on it is potentially hackable,  Just imagine what a single Hacker can do to you and if it is not enough to fear you just imagine what a team of skillful hackers can do to your governments. As US who claimed to have the greatest firewall server was hacked by a group called Vendetta and they made ever lasting impact on USA cyber crime history focusing their attention on credential files of CIA server. If the superpower is not safe from these cyber attacks then imagine where you stand if group like these divert their focus on you and your government.

             I know my friends you would well now be thinking i read here a total sci-fi  related to Hollywood movies and it has nothing to do with reality, Well my friends if you go back in 1960's and 1970's James bond series you would see that the sci-fi in these movies are now 75 to 89 per cent technology of today. 

       I would now like to end my speech by these words,

" Science and technology has brought us power and ideas but not the wisdom and responsibility to handle them "
